Background:
Professor Amoo had his Youth Service Corps in 1985/86 in the former Sokoto State Polytechnic where he started his teaching academic career. Thereafter, he was employed into the department of Chemistry department of the Federal University of Technology Akure as Lecturer II in 1995 before he became a professor in 2007. In the Polytechnic, he was the Head of the Chemistry Unit of the Department of Science Laboratory Technology. Also, he was department examinations officer in the Chemistry Department in FUTA. He was the associate director for Science Laboratory Technology /Medical Laboratory Technology and Non-Degree Programme at the Centre for Continuing Education between 2002 and 2008. He was the Head of the Chemistry Department between 2010 and 2013. He had his sabbatical leave at the Bells University of Technology Otta, Ogun State, where he was the Head of the Department of Chemical Sciences between 2007 and 2009. During this time, he helped the department get full accreditation for the Industrial Chemistry and Biochemistry options of the department.
