Background:
Joseph Ogunjobi has interests in green and sustainable
chemistry including valorisation of wastes; synthesis and development of heterogeneous catalysts and bio-based materials from platform molecules; investigation into biologically active plant natural products that may function as green pharmaceuticals, antimicrobials and agrochemicals. At the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence at the University of York, Heslington, York, UK, he generated novel bio-based polymers and surfactants which have applications in the industries. He is a member of scholarly organisations and professional bodies including Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN).
